Tennis bracelets

Origins of the tennis bracelet

This term was born after Chris Evert, a women’s tennis champion, lost a diamond bracelet during the US Open in 1987. Evert asked the officials to put the game on hold until the bracelet was found, all while the spectators watched her search for the expensive piece of jewelry.
The incident apparently sparked an interest for new diamond bracelets in many spectators, creating an obsession or what would come to be affectionately known as the “Tennis Bracelet”.

How to wear a tennis bracelet?

A tennis bracelet should be neither to tight nor too loose. If you can put one finger between the bracelet and your wrist, it is the perfect size. It is often worn on the left wrist but can be worn also on the right.
